Why can't I insert an image in Snap! Blogger Free?

First of all, you can insert images in your posts when running Snap! Blogger Free. To do so, click on the landscape icon () in the editor toolbar. Then, in the URL field, enter the URL to an image somewhere on the Internet. For instance, you can create an account at Flickr and link to your images there.

Okay... But I read that it was much better to have most of your images directly on your website...

Yes. This is correct. Search engines will increase your rank if images are found directly on your website.

Yet, there are good reasons for us to prevent you from adding images directly on our servers. The primary one is that we cannot easily scan an image and discover whether it talks about Viagra, Cialis and Co. Whereas, checking out for these words in the text of your posts is very easy and can be done programatically.

This is important for you since that way we avoid having just and only spammers using our server resources for things that no one wants anyway.
