Upgrade Snap! with Inline Tag Filters

Snap! has a filtering system dynamically transforming inline tags in your pages with content from your website. By default we include the foot note tag filter in your website.

For example, you may want to insert a link to another page. This is done with the node tag. For example, I can insert a link to the Snap! Website & Hosting product with: [node:667 title]1.

The link is automatically generated for you and by default the tag feature displays the title of the node (so if you change the title of the node later, other pages referencing that node will automatically change and display the new title.)

This extension supports all of the following filtering capabilities:

• Insert a table of contents2
• Insert a node in another or in a block (title, teaser, content, identifier, etc.)
• Insert a block in a node or another block
• Collapsible boxed text3
• Automatic trimming of empty lines4

• 1. It is possible to use the path to the node instead of its number, however, if you change the path, the references all break.
• 2. At times you may write long pages with headers, like a little documentation. Such long pages can have of or more table of contents pointing to each anchor.
• 3. This is similar to the boxed text you find in your editor. You can use this feature to hide a large paragraph that is not too important in a given context letting the user the choice of looking at it only if he or she wants to.
• 4. Some users like to write their pages adding space between different sections (using empty lines,) space that should not appear once the page is saved. This filter has the capability to automatically remove all such spaces for you.
